Mývatn Nature Baths is just 10 mins drive away.
Guests check-in at the cafe where breakfast is at. A highlight of this property is that guests can look at the cows through the glass window in the cafe.
Of course, the smell is quite strong and permeates your clothes, so if you do not want the smell, do not go near the window or stay too long in the cafe.
The cafe has a lovely view of the vast nature. Food is quite good and the waiters were friendly.
The guesthouse itself is across the street, about 100m away. With an attached bathroom, the cabin is tastefully-furnished, spacious and very cosy.
However, the heating is not strong in winter, even though a feature is the heated flooring, but it is very mild.
There is also a pizzeria next door.
Overall, romantic guesthouse in the woods, particularly beautiful in winter. Recommended for everyone, especially couples!
