Park Hotel Clarke Quay

Average: $300 per night
I rate it: 4/5

This was one of the hotels I always wanted to stay at but never got to. Finally I did last weekend, and I was neither impressed nor disappointed.

Stayed in the Crystal Club room which was frankly quite small. I cannot imagine the "regular" deluxe or superior room. View was of the opposite residences, and I mean looking at 20000 houses.

Actually the reason I wanted to stay at this hotel was because of the swimming pool, which was huge. I would suggest going at night, like after 8pm. Packed like crazy in the day. The pool is open till 11pm, and there is awesome lounge music playing till then. The bar beside the pool only serves a few alcoholic beverages though, which is quite a let-down.

Food of mediocre standard was quite pricey, I opted for grill dinner buffet which was $60+ per person but there was little variety. Breakfast for two in bed cost almost $70.

One good point was the quick check-in and out, even at peak hour. Took us only 3 minutes.

I would only suggest you stay at this hotel if you are in Singapore to club / bar-hop, otherwise, save your money for somewhere else.
