Bay Hotel

Average: $220 per night
I rate it: 3/5

I was attracted to the facade of this newly-opened hotel and had a chance to do a week's stay.

Staff uniform is smart casual - plaid western shirts with skinny jeans. That was something very different from all the hotels, so it makes travelers feel quite comfortable.

I got a complimentary room upgrade, so my room was not that squeezy. I believe their target group would be business travelers who are not particular about space, because their rooms are really tiny.

I was impressed with the toiletries and refreshments though, everything was replenished and on-the-house, that I like!

Service was good, food from room service was average, but I have to admit the fries really stand out! Also, it is nice to note that they serve Little Creatures, awesome.

Most of the rooms face the expressway, which is not much of a view, but the location is wonderful, just 3 mins away from Vivocity, one of the biggest shopping malls in Singapore, and of course, Sentosa, which houses the best attractions locally, like Universal Studios and Resorts World.

Overall, I liked the minimalist décor and efficient housekeeping. Nothing outstanding since the highly-anticipated rooftop bar, Propeller, was not open for business then, but I will be back for sure.
