I rate it: 3/5
The colonial-style hotel is very pretty in bustling Shanghai, but a lot of it is wasted space.
Most service staff were friendly, and it was very easy to communicate and get directions if you speak Mandarin. None of them can speak English.
The choices for room service are limited and taxis do not come by the hotel. The staff will just recommend you walking out. In fact, we found it easier to hail out from the main street just outside the hotel.
Great location, walking distance to major banks, office buildings and local attractions. Nice pub nearby, Cotton's, for drinks after work.
Overall, I would not recommend if you are staying for business, because they actually do not have wifi in this modern age, but only one dial-up per room. Time for an upgrade, I say.
