1912 Guest House

Average: $120 per night
I rate it: 5/5

Photos online simply do not do this lovely guesthouse any justice, as I feel that it was one of the coziest I have stayed at in Iceland.

Located in the heart of Reykjavik and steps away from the parliament, it is in a relatively quiet area and stands in such a beautiful building.

It is also steps away from various dining options, Eymundsson and gift shops.

Furniture in the room were quite old but the beds were really comfortable. I also liked the interior decor of the guesthouse, very clean and a little country.

The shared kitchen was quite spacious and there are well-labeled refrigerators for guests to use. The washroom was also heated.

However, the shower area was simply too small, at both bathrooms. There was also strangely no floor mat, so it gets flooded after a shower. Room doors also creaked so it would get quite noisy when guests take turns to insert keys, open and close their doors. This can definitely be improved.

Overall, good option for a stopover in Reykjavik.
